I like Twitter so far.  It's a good tool for getting short and important messages across to a large group of people.  It's also helpful for keeping up with news stories and events.  I have learned how to interact with other accounts on Twitter through retweeting and liking other people's messages.  I haven't experienced any issues yet.

I haven't completed the Web Design assignment yet because the deadline was moved to next week but I will discuss it and add the link to my next blog post.

Assistive technologies is defined as a type of equipment that helps improve the functional capabilities of a child with a disability.  Adaptive technology is designed only to help people with disabilities function better.  Assistive technology includes technology that can be utilized by people without disabilities as well as people with disabilities.  In first grade one of my classmates had disabilities and used a custom wheelchair and a tablet to communicate because he couldn't speak.  The tablet is an example of an assistive technology, while the custom wheelchair is an example of an adaptive piece of technology.  He had to have a nurse with him in the classroom in order to help him.  Therefore, it can be challenging to accommodate students with disabilities as well as teaching the other students.  If the class was to go on a field trip or outside, the teacher would have to make sure that the environment would be safe for wheelchairs.  If I have to use adaptive technologies in my classroom I have to make sure that I learn how to use them in order to ensure the student and the student's peers safety.
