I have been interacting with history accounts on Twitter.  I have found it beneficial because, it's easy to learn and find new history facts.  There are also a lot of accounts with information about testing and colleges.  Twitter would be helpful in my future career because it will allow me to stay connected with students.  It will also help me stay up to date with current events.  Furthermore, I will be able to relate to my students more.

The digital divide is the gap between students that have more access to the internet and technology compared to those who have less access.  This affects students in schools become some children might not be able to do some assignments or projects at home if they don't have access to the internet, cell phones, laptops or printers.  Some causes of the digital divide are socio-economic barriers.  For example, some families have less money than others, some parents don't want their children to have phones and some children might not always have access to the internet.  When I am a teacher I will allow my students to work on assignments in class so that they can use the school's resources if they don't have the same resources at home.  I will also develop good communication and relationships with my students so that I am aware of their situations.

I want to implement PowerPoint in my future classroom so that my students can use it to make presentations and projects.  I also want to use canvas in order to keep my students updated about assignments, tests, and projects.  Canvas allows students to use the calendar tool to see what work is due when.  This tool helps eliminate potential communication issues.
