Technology is constantly changing. In order for students to be successful in their future careers and in society, they must stay up to date with new tools. Technology is also faster and more efficient than out dated tools. For example, a PowerPoint is better than just writing on a chalk board. This is because a PowerPoint uses visuals, links, videos, and it is easier to read. Furthermore, technology makes learning easier.
One ISTE standard that is meaningful to me is "Global Collaborator". The world is becoming increasingly globalized and it's important for students to pay attention to the news, and open their minds up to new viewpoints. One standard that seems outside my skill set is "Creative Communicator". There are still some platforms that I don't know how to use. Therefore, my options for communicating are not super broad.
A "digital native" is someone that has grown up using technology. I have seen differences in how my teachers have used technology compared to me. Sometimes my teachers don't know how to use YouTube and a lot of them don't understand social media. In the future I'm sure there will be new technology that I don't understand in comparison to my students. Technology is constantly evolving, and I will try my best to adapt with it.

Being a communicator does not mean you have to know many platforms. The technology per se is never the focus of these standards. Think about how to use different technologies to connect and communicate with people may be more helpful to be a "creative communicator".
