Diigo is a website that allows users to highlight, bookmark, and attach notes to any part of a web page.   I learned how to use the website and collaborate with others by viewing their bookmarked articles and adding to their annotations.  This application can be useful in my future classroom for projects and homework assignments.  Students can review bookmarked articles and notes for studying.  Students can also share information with others when they work on group projects.  I can personally use this website for networking and communicating my ideas with other teachers.

I can use PowerPoint to support student learning at each level of Bloom's Taxonomy.  The bottom level is called "remember".  PowerPoints can be used to help students review information and practice memorizing terms and definitions while they study.  The next level is "understand."  PowerPoints can also explain ideas and concepts to a class.  Information provided can then be applied to other situations on PowerPoint through graphics and videos.  Analyzation can occur through Questions featured on PowerPoints can cause students to make connections to other material taught in the past through evaluation.  They can be used to supplement arguments and debates as well.  Moreover, students can create their own PowerPoints for personal assignments and group projects.

Technology is essential for teacher professional development.  It is constantly changing, and teachers must stay up to date in order to help their students to the best of their ability.  New technologies can also help assist in learning, projects, studying and testing.  Teachers need to stay up to date in order to give their students the best education experience possible.  Teachers can do this through watching the news, reading and networking with others.  Below is an example of a website that could allow me to stay informed of technology trends.  This website contains articles, events, press releases, reviews and free eBooks about educational technologies.
